Sports Acupuncture

Acupuncture treats pain through a variety of mechanisms. Energetically, it opens meridian pathways to facilitate the smooth flow of Qi. Physiologically, it improves blood circulation and reduces inflammation. It relieves muscle tension and spasms, releases trigger points that contribute to both muscle and joint pain, and resets muscle spindles to improve musculoskeletal function. Biochemically, acupuncture releases endorphins and neurotransmitters that act on pain receptors in the brain. Don't live with pain...acupuncture works.

The nature of acupuncture is to promote healing and alleviate pain and suffering. Acupuncture treats the human body as a whole. The intentions behind treatments are those of balancing and tonifying the flow of vital energy throughout the physical, emotional and spiritual pathways.
Conditions Commonly Treated with Acupuncture: Sinus and Allergies, Pain Relief, Depression, Anxiety, Insomnia, Stress, Menstrual Problems, Infertility, PMS, Digestion Disorders, Acne, Cosmetic, Neuropathy

Massage Therapy

Massage therapy helps alleviate the stress & tension which builds up in the body’s soft tissues during physical activity. Massage will help prepare the athlete for peak performance, to drain away fatigue, to relieve swelling, to reduce muscle tension, to promote flexibility and to prevent injuries.
Modalities: Deep Tissue Massage, Sports Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Therapy, Reflexology, Shiatsu/Acupressure

Natal Care

Pregnancy is an experience of transformation, both joyful and challenging. While not replacing standard prenatal care from your OBGYN or midwife, many women today choose acupuncture to treat pregnancy-related problems safely and holistically. Regular balancing treatments throughout pregnancy enhance the health of the mother thus improving the environment in which the baby develops. While some treatments may cause a slight increase in fetal movements, no treatment, unless intended to start labor, should significantly increase uterine activity.

I developed this technique, blending massage therapy with acupuncture, to give my patients a more complete experience. In essence, it is hands-on acupuncture combined with, massage therapy (muscles), lymphatic drainage (fluid), craniosacral (bones), and myofascial release (fascia). Each acussage session is customized to the individual and their needs in the moment. Acussage is a total mind-body-spirit experience, unlike anything you’ve ever experienced.

Lymphatic Therapy

Lymphatic massage was developed in the 1930's and used to help improve the flow of lymph throughout the body, stimulate metabolism, help eliminate wastes from the body and strengthen the body's defense system against foreign substances. The technique uses gentle, rhythmic strokes and pumping movements towards the direction of the lymph nodes throughout the body. Improving circulation, which in turn increases the metabolic rate, Assisting with weight loss, Reducing fluid retention, Aiding detoxification by eliminating toxins, Reducing cellulite fat accumulations, Improving immunity, Sinus congestion and allergies, Fibromyalgia, Hormonal imbalances
